After a visit to the doc today Thomas has been given 2 more weeks on the DL. Right afterwards we were off to the dentist where the candy king ound out he has 4 cavities. It was a "fun" day.
On Tina news, my project is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 15th. I'm very very very excited. Tom is even getting into it.
This past Saturday Tom and I took my little brother to the Mets game. Thanks to Mr. Fascianella's friend and my sneakiness the "boyz" had a great day at Shea, even though their team lost. The original plan was simply to take my little brother to the game for his 13th Birthday gift. We asked a friend of Mr. Fascianella's - Mike - if he could get a happy birthday message to Robert on the scoreboard during the game. He said sure! Teehee...
I however - always trying to surprise Thomas whenever possible - also contacted Mike and asked if we could get a Happy birthday message to Thomas as well. When he replied it wouldnt be a problem either, I inquired about when was the best time for us to get to the park for batting practice b/c we wanted to get my brother a few signatures if possible.
Mike being the angel he is, inlisted a friend of his Sheila who gave us the GRAND SLAM tour of Shea Stadium. We sat in the dugout. Walked on the field to the bullpen. Went into the tunnel. We walked inches from the Mets catcher, Ramon Castro, on our way to the Mets press area. We crossed paths with the newest pitcher, Shingo Takatsu on our way to the "Control Center." We walked past all the press boxes for all the television, radio and newspaper outlets. It was amazin!
It was an amazing day... the "boyz" were smiling from ear to ear... as much as I'd love to take the credit... its all thanks to Mr. Fasch, Mike and Sheila.
Pictures will be posted soon.
