Well, it has been forever since one of us wrote in this journal. Sorry! Its been busy-busy-busy. So here's the latest:
- Tom's semester is in full-force. He's had 2-3 midterms this past week alone. His schedule is so hectic. He works 8 hours a day and then 5 days a week he sits in a classroom for 2-3 hours. He missed sessions here and there in the very beginning so he was playing catch-up for a while. So now, he's basically caught up. We recently went to the Met Museum for a paper he has to write for his Art class. I'm very proud he's handling all it so well.
- Adam (finally) proposed to Tania this past Easter. The ring is her to a tee! When Tom drove me to my mom's he eluded that it "could" happen so I put him on watch. hehehe. As soon as he got confirmation he had to call me. I was beaming when I got the call! Tania and Adam are truly a marvelous couple. Adam means the world to Thomas and Tania was basically the one who made me relax a little when I first meet everyone. So there is definitely a special place in our hearts for them.
- Tom, Dave and I did the Triduum Retreat again this year. Tom and I finally saw "The Passion" and all I can say is wow! It was breathtaking. Just like last year when we left Tom and I were a lil closer and I felt refreshed. It was a great overnight, except this time I didn't sleep as well.
- Its booked! The Fasch family with Chris, Dana and I are going to Hilton Head, SC as a family trip in July. Lord help us! Its definitely going to be an adventure. I think (last I heard) Uncle Billy and Aunt Sandra may be joining us.
- My newest site is coming along soooo well. I'm very happy with it. Tonight I asked Nicole for help because there are some areas where public information is limited. Plus, I'm not a fashion person, by far... I mean, I don't really stay too current on things and I don't think anyone who is more fashionable, especially in this area as Nicole. Donna is a fast-up-n-comer! lmao.
- Thomas is no longer a Mudduck. Well, he's not on the team anymore. They had a falling out and this season he is playing with Rob's team. As we were talking we realized another teammate went to grammar school with me. I was very funny. Everytime something comes up we find someone/something in common. *can you hear the "It's a Small World" theme music*
- We all went to the Mets Home Opener this past Monday and it was BEYOND eventful! First off there were 8 of us this time, yet somehow we got had food for 16... Jay and Ricky (with the lil help of Thomas) did a great job. We all ate like Kings and Queens. I think the best part, which was a lil out of context was the guys did all the work. Anne, Natalie and I basically sat and hung out. We helped set up and clear up, but all the cooking was handled but the guys, mostly Jay and Rob.
Adam's surprise 30th Bday party was tonight at Johnny's (aka Oriental Plaza) and it went over great! He was shocked but very happy. As per the invitations a few people had Roasts ready for him. Bill Daily, his high school baseball coach teased him about his pitching. Moose teased him about his utter hatred of the Yankees. Mrs. Fasch teases him about his tight wallet. Nicole teased him about how attentive he is, lmao! Armand, Vinny and Mr. Fasch got some jabs in there too.
Of course though, Thomas couldn't let this opportunity pass without saying something on Monday. Back story: Uncle Billy and Adam had amazing tickets in the Loge section, like in the 2nd or 3rd row... I'm talking uber awesome seats. We spoke with them before the game and they were not too far away. When we spoke to them in the 2-3rd inning, they were home! Honest to Goodness! They "couldn't find parking and decided to go home." This was definitely the joke of the day. Also, Mr. Fasch arranged for Adam's name to be on the scoreboard for his birthday, which they missed. SoOoOoOo Tom's roast was based on this. He imitated Uncle Billy and Adam and what their conversation may have been in the car ride to the stadium. At the end of his little skit, he presented Adam with a gift. During the game I took a picture of the scoreboard when his name came up. We framed it for him to have since he wasn't there to see it himself. *still can't get over it! lmao*
This weekend Tom is away with the Knights of Columbus for a bowling tournament. So I'm going to help out Mrs. Fasch at St. Bernadette's play, selling refreshments. The rest of the time I'll be working on my site.
