Merry Christmas to Everyone!
::x-posted on my journal:: My week was hectic, busy, and exciting. The days leading up to Christmas Eve I spent doing a lot of baking and last minute shopping. I made enough cookies and cakes for three houses: my parents, Tom's family and extras. I think I should have taken stock in Pillsbury and Nestle. HeHeHe!
Christmas Eve, my friend stopped by and we exchanged gifts. We had hot cocoa and it was nice. I got a bunch of cool things... the laundry list to follow but the main gift was an XM Satelite radio. A little later on, Tom and I packed up the car and brought 90% of the gifts to my mom's house. We also picked her and my lil brother up and took a little trip to RagShop for last minute fabric. My mom is making us stockings for next year so we had to pick out just the right style. We made a pit stop at my place again so my mom could see my tree and we could get a few more bags of goodies. We went back to her place and hung out. It was quite relaxing, which was something I needed.
Tom came and got me and Robert for Christmas Eve dinner at his house. As Robert put it, "he'll never eat like that again." Honestly, it was truly delicious and so warm. It was soooo much food. Dinner literally lasted a couple of hours, with a break here and there. As usually, Uncle Billy was in rare joke-telling form and Adam and Tom were ranking on him. Then when we just started to digest it all, Santa made a Grand Entrance. It was awesome, but unfortunately Tom's dad, missed it all. Santa gave out a bunch of gifts out, but the aunts had to work for it. Moe called from Bangkok and the line to talk to him formed around the block. He's biggest question for all those who got to speak with him was "should I tan on my back or stomach?" seeing as how it's 85 degrees there. Tom's family gave me a lot of cool things. But the gift above all others was Tom's gift to me: my new digital camera. At first I opened the memory stick and I said to Tom it wasn't going to fit the camera I already had. The next gift I opened was my signature stuffed animal. I had already been given baby Gonzo on Wednesday so I figured that was my stuffed animal. I was wrong. I was given Dory from "Finding Nemo" as well. It was excellent. So then I opened the other gift and BAM, my new camera. Its the same one we bought for Natalie, Tom's sister, for her birthday this past summer. Its so awesome. We took Robert home and let him open his gift from Tom and I. We got him an MP3 player and he seemed to really like it.
Christmas Day, Tom and I attended Christmas mass early in the AM. One of my favorite parts of our relationship is that we can go to mass together and share that, I adore it. The two of us went back to his house and watched one of his new DVDs, "Miracle" before we had to go Aunt Linda's out in New Jersey. Its definitely one of my favorite sports movies. By the time the movie was over it was time to go. Tom, Natalie and I went out together and got there without a hitch. This was the first time I was meeting his cousins, Kristen and Erica. Yep, there are more cousins! Goodness! They are two beautiful girls, quite funny and intelligent as well. And in keeping with the traditions, the food was amazing. We had pork, which is one of my favorites. After dinner, the kids, meaning Uncle Michael including, played games. First spoons, where I became the ASS by talking to Stephen. He twicked me! Next it was LRC, and well I won the first game, lost the second and didn't play the third. Ha! Finally it was Scene-It, the gift I got from Stephen and Natalie for Christmas. We had a good time. That was it for us, though, Tom and I had to get back in the road and head to my mom's. We hit a little traffic and took a detour but got there okay.
The house was packed. Chrystal and Marcus were there and brought Marcus' sister, Quincy as well. Marina, Nanu and Uncle Norman too. Again we stuffed our faces. I'm going to need to workout overtime to shed the extra pounds I must have piled on, but it was all worth it. My mom's lasagna has a little kick to it, so it was very tasty. We all opened our gifts. My mom made my sister and I matching throw pillows. She created a collage of pictures from over the years. Its stunningly beautiful. Definitely one of my favorite gifts this year. Then it was on to games again! First we played Scene-it, and Chrystal, Marcus and Quincy kicked our butts. Tom went back to the car for Trivial Pursuit DVD Version, where Marina, Tom and I were able to win! Thank goodness I watched "My So Called Life" and was addicted to all things Jared Leto. Finally we ended the night with a memoriable game of Taboo where Quincy, Tom and my mom won over Chrystal, Marina and I. At that point it was 1am and we were all exhausted.

So Tom and I are meeting up and taking the train in with Drew, Jonathan and Augusta. Tomorrow Tom has bowling and Wednesday is Nanu's birthday. Thursday we were planning on going to see the Lights in Jones Beach but its not set in stone. Friday is over course New Year's Eve so thats going to be a long day too. Saturday, Tom, Dave and myself (maybe Robert too) are having a LOTR extended verison movie marathon.
Pictures to come...
